Bump & Grind - Bangalore Style

I went partying this weekend..., with CeeKay (Chandra Kumar) of all people!

First off, the man has élan. I only wish ten years down I would be able to say the same about me...

About the party itself, I really don't want to go into the nitty gritty of the invitation process, except take it from me, it was hilarious, if nothing else.
And I really need to convince myself somehow that good manners dictates not to arrive at a party on time or early? We were early enough our hostess had not put on her shoes yet. A little while after we arrived, she went away, vaguely mumbling something about "chappals".

There were a couple of other people we knew over there, but other than that we generally vegged. And I got plastered. Yup, second beer and I was so woozy, I could have done a Coyote Ugly on the food table.

There were a few ladies who fired up the dance floor. The "floor" in this case was the cemented courtyard of a generously large home off Sharjapura road. There were a couple of tables with chairs around them and another fair scattering of chairs everywhere on the grounds, where people were catching up with each other and discussing Godaloneknowswhat.

There were also a fair smattering of people visiting the TV every so often to check the score, as India was playing Sri Lanka...

To rub it in, India lost another World Cup, yeee haaa!

Me, well, I hung around the periphery, trying to keep the lowest profile I could. I missed my dancing friend and partner, else I too would have loved to do my moves, and a little bump and grind on the floor.

CeeKay, got dragged onto the floor and got to dance with the somewhat plastered hostess' mom. It was fun and I think everyone there had a ball.

We left at a time when I think things were just starting to get warmed up. Yes, it had been a long-ish day and I was feeling blue about another looming weekend, with no salvation in sight.

Here are some pics I took using the Sony Ericsson 790i CyberShot phone camera.
