The Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM Ultra Wide Angle Lens

Finally had a clear day, with enough sunshine, so I decided to road test the Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM ultra wide angle lens, which had taken up residence in the camera bag.
Now, this lens is wider than the Nikkor 12-24mm, and is not a fish-eye. I am very very happy with it.

The lens delivers better optics than I expected. this is the only non Nikon lens I have and it is amazing! The colors and contrast is outstanding. The price is even better. It is just half the price of the Nikon 12-24mm.

The Sigma 10-20mm ultra wide angle lens is equipped with the HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) focussing system. Similar to the SWM system from Nikon, this lens is silent and fast when it is auto-focussing, on my Nikon D40 DSLR camera.

Here are a couple of pics I shot using the Sigma 10-20mm...

You can read about the lens here.
