This light is used on the periphery of our two wheeler parking lot at work. It's quite well constructed, with a nice energy efficient CFL lamp (Compact Flourescent Lamp), glowing white at night.
What with a fellow employee suffering a snake bite when the reptile coiled itself somewhere under the fuel tank of his bike, and when startled, bit him. The admin department now repaired all the non-working lights and keep them lit till late in the night, so that there are no more snake bite incidents at work...
That said, this light is about 2 feet tall from the ground and the light is at about knee level. Just off the ground is a box where all the electrical connections are barely concealed. It cracks us up everytime we pass by the light because there is this neat little printing on the metal reflector which states "P-Lite"...
I wonder if the little mutts will forgive us if it ever uses this light as a fire hydrant.
The P-Lite!
